Led by Smriti Mandhana, they secured their maiden title by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final match and claimed a prize of INR 6 crore. Meanwhile, the runners-up, Delhi Capitals, took home INR 3 crore, finishing second for the second consecutive year.
Furthermore, the Indian Premier League remains the most lucrative franchise league tournament, with the winning team receiving a prize of INR 20 crore, as was claimed by Chennai Super Kings in the previous season. Remarkably, even the runners-up of the last IPL season, Gujarat Titans, earned more than three times the prize money awarded to a PSL champion, with a sum of INR 13 crore.
