GT: GUJARAT TITANS
The 2023 Runners Up, and the winners of the 2022 IPL will be the team to beat under previous year’s orange cap holder (890 runs) and this seasons skipper, Shubman Gill. Mohammad Shami – 2023’s purple cap holder (28 wickets), will be leading the bowling attack with the likes Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed making the franchise a force to reckon with. However, with the absence of their previous face and skipper of the franchise (Hardik Pandya), it’ll be interesting to see how things unravel.
MI: MUMBAI INDIANS
The Franchise has been in controversy lately due to the unexpected change of captaincy from the veteran Rohit Sharma to the former GT skipper Hardik Pandya – once an MI prospect in the beginning of his club career. Although the team is balanced with powerful hitters in the batting line-up and a genius of the ball in Jasprit Bumrah, the fans have taken over social media on the arguments of how Hardik-Rohit’s equation will play out for the team.
SRH: SUNRISERS HYDERABAD
The Sunrisers bid a whopping 20.50 crore on the Aussie Pat Cummins who’s also the skipper for the franchise this season making him the second most expensive player of all time. With batsmen like Travis Head, Glen Philips, and Aiden Markram and the cash splurge in the auctions, will SRH get back to winning ways and their glory days?
RR: RAJASTHAN ROYALS
Ever Since winning the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008, Rajasthan Royals have failed to repeat the feat. Will this time be any different? The squad is quite similar with a few changes here and there and the skipper is unchanged too. Will Sanju Samson and the boys be able to steer Rajasthan Royals in the right direction or will the Royals get off the tracks like their previous seasons.
KKR: KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS
The 2023 campaign was a disaster for the knight riders, having lost 8 out of their 14 matches and with a negative net run rate, they finished 7th and failed to qualify for the playoffs leaving the fans angry and disappointed. With an almost same line-up and minimal changes, KKR have also managed to bag the most expensive player in IPL history with a price tag of 24.75 crore, the Ausie, Mitchell Starc (left-arm fast bowler). Can the fans and franchise expect Shreyas Iyer to lead the team to the Playoffs.
LSG: LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS
The 2023 Campaign was a partial success as the LSG managed to make it to the playoffs but failed miserably at the hands of the 5-times-Champions Mumbai Indians in the first eliminator. Under the mentorship of Gautam Gambhir and the skipper KL Rahul, LSG would want to be remembered for their on field performance rather than their off field antics this season.
RCB: ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE
Will RCB end the meme and troll’s saga #esaalcupnamde and lift the trophy once and for all, or the WPL-Women’s Premiere League’s trophy will be the only cause of celebration for the franchise and the fans. With Faf DuPlessis holding the command as the captain, and all-time greats like Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell, RCB might find new ways to come to the top with new signings like Alzarri Joseph, making the longing dream of lifting the trophy a possibility.
PBKS: PUNJAB KINGS
Punjab Kings (PBKS) have often been considered the least successful team in IPL history, with zero trophies to their name and only one final appearance back in 2014. Despite consistently acquiring top T20 cricketers worldwide, their efforts have failed to yield substantial success. However, as they assemble their squad for IPL 2024 under the skipper – Shikhar Dhawan, they are undoubtedly aiming to finally break their winless streak in the tournament.

Despite making multiple playoff appearances and reaching the final in 2020, Delhi Capitals (DC) have yet to clinch Indian Premier League (IPL) glory.
