Despite the setback of losing the Tag Team title, Judgment Day’s title count remained unaltered over the weekend.
Damian Priest’s strategic cash-in of his Money in the Bank contract proved pivotal as he seized the World Heavyweight Title from Drew McIntyre, mere minutes after McIntyre’s hard-fought victory over Seth Rollins. Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley successfully defended her Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania, solidifying her reign.
Awesome Truth vs Judgment Day: John Cena Returns
However, the spotlight of this segment didn’t shine on these titles. Instead, it centered on R-Truth, half of the new RAW tag team champions, who made a surprising appearance in the ring alongside Judgment Day. Seeking to rekindle his camaraderie with the faction, R-Truth expressed his desire to reunite with Judgment Day. While some members welcomed his return, The Miz appeared less enthusiastic.
In a bold move, Judgment Day challenged Awesome Truth to a tag team title rematch. However, R-Truth countered with a proposal for a six-man tag team match, pitting Judgment Day against Awesome Truth and a mystery partner dubbed “a guy you can’t see.”
Although speculation ran wild that John Cena would answer the call, the match initially favored Awesome Truth in their 2 vs. 3 disadvantage. Despite taking a beating, both The Miz and R-Truth held their ground until Cena’s arrival, which tipped the scales in their favor. In the end, Awesome Truth, alongside John Cena, emerged victorious, cementing their dominance in the ring.
